- Workbooks (.twb)
Các workbook bạn thường làm công việc là xử lý và trực quan hóa dữ liệu có định dạng file là *.twb. Một workbooks lưu trữ nhiều worksheet, dashboard và story trong đó. Định dạng này hoạt động giống workbook trong Excel
Tableau workbook files have the .twb file extension. Workbooks hold one or more worksheets, plus zero or more dashboards and stories.

- Bookmarks (.tbm)
Các tệp bookmark có định dạng *.tbm. Bookmark chỉ được tạo từ worksheet, không thể tạo bookmark từ dashboard hoặc story
Tableau bookmark files have the .tbm file extension. Bookmarks contain a single worksheet and are an easy way to quickly share your work.
📁: Window → Bookmark → Create Bookmark → Name of Folder → Save
- Packaged Workbooks (.twbx)
Một workbook được đóng gói là một file nén chứa workbook cùng với một số hình nền và file dữ liệu đang hỗ trợ. Định dạng này là cách tốt nhất để đóng gói những gì bạn đang làm để chia sẻ cho những người không có quyền truy cập vào dữ liệu.
Tableau packaged workbooks have the .twbx file extension. A packaged workbook is a single zip file that contains a workbook along with any supporting local file data and background images. This format is the best way to package your work for sharing with others who don’t have access to the original data.

- Extract (.hyper or .tde)
Tùy thuộc phiên bản người dùng đang sử dụng, các tệp trích xuất có thể có định dạng là *.hyper hoặc *.tde. Các tiệp trích xuất là một phần dữ liệu hoặc toàn bộ dữ liệu người dùng trích ra và chia sẻ với người khác, hoặc khi cần làm việc offline, ngoài ra còn giúp tăng hiệu năng xử lý dữ liệu.
Depending on the version the extract was created in, Tableau extract files can have either the .hyper or .tde file extension. Extract files are a local copy of a subset or entire data set that you can use to share data with others, when you need to work offline, and improve performance.
📁: Right-click on Data Source → Extract Data → Extract → Tableau Data Extract
- Data Source (.tds)
Các tệp chứa dữ liệu nguồn là “đường tắt” dùng để kết nối nhanh với dữ liệu gốc. Các tệp này không chứa dữ liệu thực tế nhưng chứa những thông tin cần thiết để kết nối với dữ liệu thực thế thông qua các thao tác điều chỉnh dữ liệu mà người dùng đã thiết lập với dữ liệu gốc như: thay đổi thiết lập mặc định, tạo calculated filed, tạo group,…
Tableau data source files have the .tds file extension. Data source files are shortcuts for quickly connecting to the original data that you use often. Data source files do not contain the actual data but rather the information necessary to connect to the actual data as well as any modifications you’ve made on top of the actual data such as changing default properties, creating calculated fields, adding groups, and so on.

- Packaged Data Source (.tdsx)
Nguồn dữ liệu được đóng gói là một file nén gồm các tệp chứa dữ liệu nguồn (*.tds) cũng như dữ liệu được trích xuất (*hyper hoặc *tde), file text, file Excel, file Access và các file cube. Sử dụng định dạng này để tạo một tệp đơn lẻ để người dùng chia sẻ với những người không thể truy cập vào dữ liệu gốc được lưu trữ tại máy tính cá nhân của người dùng.
Tableau packaged data source files have the .tdsx file extension. A packaged data source is a zip file that contains the data source file (.tds) described above as well as any local file data such as extract files (.hyper or .tde), text files, Excel files, Access files, and local cube files. Use this format to create a single file that you can then share with others who may not have access to the original data stored locally on your computer.
